Connective Counselling & Therapy in Remuera, Auckland

Skype and Phone Sessions available during Alert Levels 3 & 4

During times of stress and crisis, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by problems – that there is no hope, direction or possible change in sight,  Maybe it feels as if you don’t have any control over your life and relationships. Perhaps you want to change the way you act, or to reach a new understanding about the way somebody else is acting. Perhaps you are feeling stuck and wantIng support in making a new start. Whatever is happening for you, coming to counselling, where you can have respectful and confidential conversations with a trained professional, can be a great way to start getting things sorted out. It can help you to get a better sense of what’s happened in the past, how this is impacting on you now, and to generate a future with new possibilities.  There’s no need to wait until things are reaching crisis point for you, and we are just as interested in what is going well!

COVID-19 UPDATE:  While I am not seeing clients face-to-face during Alert Levels 3 and 4, I am offering Skype video or phone sessions.  Noho kainga, noho haumaru, noho ora mai (stay home, stay safe, stay alive). Marie.

A little bit about me…

My name is Marie Edwards and I am a New Zealander with Scottish, English and Maori heritage.  I am also a proud Mum. I work from lovely rooms in Grey Lynn (or see me in Remuera if it suits you better). I’m committed to providing my clients with a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space where they can talk about whatever’s brought them to counselling, as well as the strengths and abilities which can be easily overlooked in times of trouble.  I am happy to discuss my practice approach, or just counselling in general, if the information on my website does not answer any questions you might have.  I always feel privileged to hear my client’s stories, and I look forward to talking with you!
